H&H Higher Education Services strives to support students and their families with college preparation, provide career coaching, and pour empowerment into communities. Having the opportunity of being able to help students tap into potential they may have been unaware of and assisting with planning for life after high school is priceless. Being able to educate communities on college and career options can change the trajectory of families’ generational paths. H&H Coaches have developed tools to help families map out their college preparation plan, stay organized while on the journey and confidently understand requirements for each college of interest. If college is the goal/interest for a particular student, our goal is to assist that student and their family in submitting phenomenal college applications by early fall of their senior year.
Meet Dr. Tashena D. Briggs
Dr. Tashena D. Briggs is the CEO and founder of H&H Higher Education Services, LLC. This purposeful passion project was founded from the reality of Dr. Briggs, being a first-generation college student and having a deep passion for uplifting and sharing resources with families of similar backgrounds. Dr. Briggs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting from Western Illinois University. She is also a graduate from Northern Illinois University with a Master of Science in Adult and Higher Education along with an Educational Doctorate in Community College Leadership. Dr. Briggs has over a decade of experience within higher education which includes supporting underrepresented students and families through the college-going progress, mentoring, diversity work, community connections, sorority and fraternity life, residential on campus housing, and empowering the younger generation. Dr. Briggs successfully started and managed a TRIO Upward Bound college-preparation program in the Northern Illinois region.

​Dr. Briggs’ doctoral research surrounds uncovering specific barriers families are facing daily and the support they need through the college-going process. She truly finds fulfilment in introducing and/or deepening the exposure of the right “college fit” for students and their families. So far, she’s had the opportunity to visit dozens of colleges across the country to learn more about academic programs and campus culture. Many people took the time to care for and guide Dr. Briggs in her educational/career journey and she wants to pay that forward.
